Environmental approach

A commitment to the future

For us, as a brand, the environment is at the heart of strategic issues for the future.
The goal for the coming years is to develop MW by looking to the future in order to grow while reducing our environmental footprint. This is why this commitment is now part of our DNA and guides us in our choices.

This process is long-term and has already started since 2018. The aim is to identify and work on sustainable improvements in a significant number of areas, then evaluate them using objective and transparent indicators.

Recycled covers, our major breakthrough

The result of this work is the release of 2 collections composed of 99% recycled materials (RPET, polyurethane shape memory) while retaining the technical characteristics that have made the brand successful.

Each part of the cover has been studied to offer the best possible solution. The fabric, the zipper, the inner plush and the 6mm memory foam (all 4 GRS certified) are therefore made from recycled and environmentally friendly materials. For example, it takes 12 bottles of water to produce a 13'' cover.

The remaining 1%? The nylon thread used to sew our covers.

Our manufacturing process

The plastic used comes from post-consumer sources – both from the household waste sorting process and from the recovery of plastic bottles dumped in the sea – but also from post-industry.

They are then reduced to balls and then melted down to form textile threads which will then be transformed into fabric. Our materials make it possible to give a second life to waste.

More sober packaging

Since 2020, we have been offering packaging for our covers with a reduced impact on the environment.

This sobriety involves thinking about materials with 100% recycled cardboard assembled using vegetable glue and whose inscriptions are made with soy ink, but also around the quantity of packaging.

The new packaging has enabled a 44% reduction in cardboard and secondary packaging has been reduced, in particular the polybag surrounding the covers.
